Personal and Group Consultations

Effective counseling requires a healthy balance of compassion and truth, along with both personal self-awareness and collaborative wisdom. Therefore, we require case consultation oversight, held in both individual and group formats. This time is dedicated to two critical functions:

  • Case Consultation: Diving into specific cases from your clientele to practically and thoroughly work through scenarios, learn from your peers, and gain guidance on issues as they arise.
  • Personal Growth: Providing a space to work through any personal challenges you face in your role as a counselor.

Readings and Essays

Continuous learning is essential for excellence in counseling. As a Certified Clinically Informed Biblical Counselor (CCIBC), you must be able to critically filter information, interpret it correctly, and apply it for your clients in a way that is biblically, therapeutically, and practically sound. Therefore, this requirement involves reading and writing about key psychological, philosophical, and biblical resources.

Presentation

The final step of this certification course is a capstone presentation to your cohort. You will present on a specific area you have studied, highlighting insights from your personal and spiritual growth on the topic. This presentation is designed to educate, challenge, and foster growth for both you and your peers.
